EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT

This Employment Contract (the "Agreement") is made on [DATE] between:

Employer: [EMPLOYER NAME], a company registered at [ADDRESS] ("Employer"); and

Employee: [EMPLOYEE NAME], of [ADDRESS] ("Employee").

The Employer agrees to employ the Employee, and the Employee agrees to be employed, on the terms set out below.

1. POSITION AND DUTIES
The Employee is employed as [JOB TITLE], reporting to [MANAGER / ROLE]. The Employee's main duties are:
[DESCRIBE KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES]
The Employee agrees to perform these duties diligently and to follow the Employer's reasonable and lawful instructions. The Employer may reasonably change the Employee's duties in line with the role.

2. START DATE AND PROBATION
Employment begins on [START DATE]. The first [NUMBER] months are a probationary period, during which either party may end the employment with [NUMBER] week(s)' notice. The Employer may extend the probationary period once by up to [NUMBER] months.

3. PLACE OF WORK
The Employee's normal place of work is [WORK LOCATION / "remote" / "hybrid"]. The Employee may be required to work at other locations from time to time as reasonably needed.

4. HOURS OF WORK
Normal working hours are [HOURS] per week, worked [DAYS / SCHEDULE]. The Employee may need to work additional hours where reasonably required to fulfill the role.

5. COMPENSATION
The Employer will pay the Employee a [salary / wage] of [AMOUNT] per [year / month / hour], paid [monthly / weekly] in arrears by [PAYMENT METHOD], subject to lawful deductions such as tax.

6. BENEFITS
The Employee is entitled to the following benefits: [LIST BENEFITS, e.g. pension contributions, health insurance, bonus scheme, or "none beyond those required by law"]. Benefits are subject to the rules of each scheme, which may change from time to time.

7. ANNUAL LEAVE
The Employee is entitled to [NUMBER] days of paid annual leave per year, plus public holidays. Leave must be approved in advance by the Employer.

8. SICK LEAVE
The Employee will receive sick pay in accordance with the Employer's policy and applicable law. The Employee must notify the Employer as early as possible when unable to work.

9. CONFIDENTIALITY
During and after employment, the Employee will keep the Employer's confidential information private and will not use or disclose it except to perform their duties.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Any work, inventions, or materials the Employee creates in the course of employment belong to the Employer. The Employee agrees to sign any documents reasonably needed to confirm this.

11. DATA PROTECTION
The Employer will process the Employee's personal data in line with applicable data protection law and its privacy policy. The Employee consents to such processing for employment purposes.

12. COMPANY POLICIES
The Employee agrees to comply with the Employer's policies and procedures, which may be updated from time to time. These policies do not form part of this Agreement unless stated.

13. TERMINATION AND NOTICE
After probation, either party may end this Agreement by giving [NUMBER] week(s)' written notice (or as required by law, whichever is longer). The Employer may terminate without notice in cases of gross misconduct, to the extent permitted by law.

14. RETURN OF PROPERTY
On termination, the Employee will promptly return all Employer property, including documents, devices, keys, and any confidential information.

15. RESTRICTIVE COVENANTS
For [NUMBER] months after employment ends, the Employee will not solicit the Employer's clients or employees for a competing purpose. These restrictions apply only to the extent they are reasonable and enforceable under applicable law.

16. GENERAL PROVISIONS
(a) Governing Law. This Agreement is governed by the laws of [STATE/COUNTRY], and any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
(b) Entire Agreement. This Agreement is the complete agreement between the parties and replaces any prior discussions, understandings, or agreements on this subject.
(c) Amendments. Any change to this Agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties.
(d) Severability. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
(e) Waiver. If a party does not enforce a provision, it does not give up its right to enforce that or any other provision later.
(f) Assignment. Neither party may assign or transfer this Agreement without the other party's prior written consent.
(g) Notices. Any notice under this Agreement must be given in writing (email is acceptable) to the other party.
